On Monday I went out with a group of skiers to check out a backcountry ski zone in Crested Butte called Coney’s. It was a beautiful crisp bluebird day with just a little fresh snow and some recycled powder from the wind. A quick sled ride got us to the bottom of the skin track and then we were on the way up through the forest.
The start of the skin.
At the top of the skin track we were greeted by an amazing view of Mt. Crested Butte.
Then we went skiing.
The snow and the views were pretty darn good.
I really like this one too.
